Nzubechi Oguoma
Professional experience
Nzubechi has extensive experience working in the disability sector where she worked as a Disability Support Worker and House Manager for over six years assisting clients aged six years and over.
During this time, Nzubechi assisted clients living with intellectual disability, those with acquired brain injuries and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Nzubechi also has experience working as a High School Biology Teacher and Peer Educator in Africa.
Today, Nzubechi works within the occupational rehabilitation sector where she provides health coaching and vocational counselling to people with psychological injuries. She supports people presenting with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Depression, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorder, and a range of personality disorders. Nzubechi draws from a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy.
