Beth Chester
Professional experience
Beth has developed a deep understanding of the complex challenges many individuals face, particularly those living with eating disorders and the impacts of long‑term or complex trauma. Her passion lies in supporting people navigating depression, anxiety, stress, low self‑worth, family violence, complex post‑traumatic stress disorder, and experiences of grief and loss.
Drawing on extensive experience in private practice and Headspace, Beth has worked with a broad range of adult and adolescent clients presenting with diverse and often overlapping mental health concerns. This setting has strengthened her ability to provide tailored, flexible and client‑centred support, and has deepened her understanding of the unique pressures and life transitions that individuals commonly experience. Her private practice work has also allowed her to refine her collaborative approach, ensuring clients feel heard, empowered and actively involved in their therapeutic journey.
Using a holistic, structured and reflective therapeutic style, Beth integrates a variety of evidence‑based interventions—including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness practices and crisis management—to respond effectively to each client’s needs. Beth is also certified by ANZAED as an Eating Disorder Clinician, enabling her to deliver specialised treatment for adults experiencing eating disorder concerns.
