Professional experience

Kim is a registered psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting clients with complex needs across Queensland and Victoria. Her career spans private practice, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and multiple government departments, including Child Protection, Mental Health, and Youth Justice. Working across these diverse settings has equipped Kim with a strong ability to respond to risk, contribute effectively within multidisciplinary teams, and deliver trauma‑informed and culturally responsive care.

Kim adopts a compassionate, person‑centred therapeutic style when supporting individuals and couples. She works with a broad range of mental health and psychosocial concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment difficulties, work‑related issues, family violence, complex trauma, anger management, grief and loss, and post‑traumatic stress disorder. Kim has a particular interest in supporting clients living in rural and remote communities, as well as First Nations Australians, and is committed to providing care that is culturally informed, respectful, and grounded in partnership.

Kim has extensive experience supporting clients engaged through workers’ compensation schemes, providing comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and recovery‑focused interventions to assist with psychological injury and return‑to‑work outcomes. She also has significant experience delivering evidence‑based psychological services under Medicare, including those referred through Mental Health Treatment Plans, and providing support to clients funded through the NDIS.

Kim integrates a range of evidence‑based therapeutic modalities, tailoring her approach to align with each client’s goals, values, and readiness for change. Her therapeutic toolkit includes: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness‑based interventions, Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).

Kim is dedicated to creating a warm, collaborative, and empowering therapeutic environment. She is committed to supporting clients to build insight, strengthen resilience, and achieve meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.
