Melissa is a Registered Psychologist with extensive experience working with individuals from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds. She brings a warm, gentle, and authentic presence to her work, creating a safe and person‑centred therapeutic space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
Melissa has worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, grief and loss, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), burnout, relationship challenges, and chronic health conditions. She has developed strong expertise in chronic pain management and complex pain presentations, helping clients understand the mind‑body connection and develop practical, sustainable strategies for coping and recovery. Melissa also regularly supports clients dealing with workplace stress, conflict, and role‑related strain.
Melissa also has substantial experience providing support through Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), delivering brief interventions and professional guidance for work‑related concerns, wellbeing challenges, and personal stressors.
Melissa utilises an integrative and collaborative therapeutic approach, drawing on a range of evidence‑based modalities to tailor treatment to each client’s goals, needs, and preferences. Her therapeutic modalities include: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
In addition to therapeutic intervention, Melissa is experienced in conducting mental health assessments and workers’ compensation psychological assessments, including psych functional assessments, risk evaluations, and treatment‑focused recommendations. She is skilled in navigating scheme requirements, communicating with insurers, and supporting clients through the injury and recovery process.
Melissa delivers psychological services under Medicare, workers’ compensation schemes, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), and is committed to thorough assessment, evidence‑based treatment, and meaningful, sustainable outcomes for her clients.
