Tim Maher
Professional experience
Tim is a compassionate and experienced clinician who has worked across a range of mental health settings, supporting clients with diverse presentations and backgrounds. His clinical work includes a strong focus on trauma, and he is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), with experience assisting individuals experiencing trauma and PTSD.
Tim is also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and perinatal mental health, enabling him to provide targeted, evidence-based support across different stages of life and areas of need.
His primary therapeutic approaches include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Tim integrates these approaches into his work to help clients develop practical strategies, enhance psychological flexibility, and move toward meaningful, values-driven lives.
