Access Psych is proud to deliver Mental Health First Aid® training to equip people and communities with the knowledge and confidence to support a person experiencing a mental health problem. Our accredited trainers can deliver:
Mental Health First Aid® training teaches participants how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
Participants learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in adults, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem and the treatments and supports available.
The 12-hour course can be delivered in one of three ways:
A two-day course led by one of Access Psych’s Licensed MHFA Instructors (held for a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 participants).
A self-paced e-learning component, followed by a four-hour face-to-face session led by a Licensed MHFA Instructor.
A self-paced e-learning component, followed by two 2.5-hour video conferencing sessions led by a Licensed MHFA Instructor.
