Access Psych & The Office of the Children’s Guardian Supervision – Reflective Practice Program

In partnership with Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG), Access Psych Clinicians offer professional supervision and reflective practice to OCG employees to support employee wellbeing.

The aim of this service is to help staff identify any symptoms of compassion fatigue, burnout and vicarious trauma through a trauma informed care lens.

There are key benefits to the professional supervision and reflective practice sessions, and they include some of the below:

  • Provide strategies that improve employee wellbeing.
  • Professional and formal supervision of employees with clinicians from Access Psych
  • Formal supervision process that includes debriefing, developing and monitoring awareness of the risks of vicarious trauma, and reduce secondary trauma and possible burnout.
  • Increase knowledge of risk issues as relevant to the work of the organisation
  • Streamline workload management and efficiency processes.
  • Provide external support for employee mental health and wellbeing.
